People of all sorts who seek to follow the example of Jesus of Nazareth, called the Christ or Messiah.
Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God who lived a real human life some 2000 years ago, who went about teaching, healing, reaching out to people and telling them about the 'reign' or 'kingdom' of God: a place of radical newness, equality and justice.

Jesus died on a cross and yet 'rose from the dead' to be experienced as real and alive by his first followers and by all who call themselves disciples today.

A place, real or virtual, where Christians come to meet together to talk, explore and share their faith and to worship God. Church is a place of fellowship, friendship and encounter, a place for discovering things about God, the world and ourselves and for exploring what it means to be spiritual beings called to responsible living in today's world.

[-] Want a real church?

St Peter's chaplaincy www.stpeters.org.uk is for all students in Higher Education in Manchester. It is supported by the Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and URC churches and has links with the Society of Friends, Unitarian and Orthodox churches.

Walkway, opposite the upper entrance to St. Peter's House, is open everyday for prayer, quiet and meditation with daily prayers at 9.30am and a Eucharist/Communion Service at 1.15pm each weekday in term time.

Sangam, next to the main entrance to St. Peter's House, is an informal meeting place where all people of faith are welcome to come and meditate, be still and explore their spirituality. The word sangam meets 'coming together' or 'meeting place' (literally 'delta'). It's open each weekday from 9.00am till late.

St Anselm's chapel, is part of St Anselm's hall. The chapel is open everyday for prayer. Each Tuesday in term time at 7.00pm there is a Eucharist.

Hulme Hall chapel, hosts an event (meditation, prayer time) each Tuesday evening in term time at 9.00pm.

UMIST prayer room, is in the Renold Building. It's open each day during office hours. All welcome!
